Illustrations by Mark Simon – Nadal Shirt Design

Rafael Nadal is a very muscular tennis player. (yes, there is such a thing). If you haven’t heard of him, ask any woman. This caricature of Nadal is for a t-shirt design. Illustration by Mark Simon.

Illustrations by Mark Simon – Photo Comp Layout

Some of our illustrations are just as much photography, but always as creative. For Mark Simon’s series of articles, Mind Your Business on the www.AWN.com website, Mark always tells a story with his images. Actually, we think he just likes playing dress-up. Photo comp by Mark Simon.

Illustrations by Mark Simon – Marriott Stage

How do you show your clients what your concept will look like for that stage presentation? Why, you ask us to illustrate it for you. That’s how. We drew this for a big corporate event held in a big Marriott.

Illustrations by Mark Simon – Dr J Comic

Dr. J created a comic book called Zing Zest, celebrating life. It follows the adventures of Dr. J and how he uses humor in adversity. We helped with the writing and illustrated the entire comic. Art by Mark Simon.

Illustrations by Mark Simon – Disney Yeti Package

Some of the projects we’ve drawn for Disney, they won’t let us share. They are mean that way. Here’s a sample of pieces we did for the opening of their big Yeti ride at Animal Kingdom. Art by Mark Simon.

Illustrations by Mark Simon – Hunter

Artist Mark Simon feels that every image needs to tell a story. A drawing is always better with a story. In this weird reality the animals are fighting back against the hunter. We have nothing against hunters, (unless they carry grossly huge weapons into a Chili’s Restaurant) but this is just funny.

Illustrations by Mark Simon – David Goliath

We designed, wrote and created the animated series A Message From God. The idea is that sibilings get into an argument as they are wont to do. One of them then uses a story from the bible to support their side of the argument. We designed the animation of the bible story to look like it was colored by a kid with crayons. Cool huh? Art by Mark Simon channeling his inner 7 year old.

Illustrations by Mark Simon – Canal Line Art Example

We provided illustrations for a series of high end resorts around the world. These illustrations dissolved into video of the actual locations. The trick was to make it look like art without too much detail while still working for the production. Illustrations by Mark Simon.

Illustrations by Mark Simon – Coke

We illustrated a number of concepts developed for the huge LCD screens in Times Square. The agency had created a number of great ideas where images on the Coke cans became animated and made the cans move. You can see full sequences of this on our Storyboard Portfolio page. Boards by Mark Simon.
